Champions at Madeira Elementary School offers activities in art, dramatic play, math, science, problem-solving, language, motor skills, and stage production. The program includes a balance of child-initiated and teacher-led activities, along with daily lessons in community building and character development.
• Ages: 3–12 years old
• Schedule: Before- and after-school options during the 2025/2026 school year, an after-school option for preschool and pre-K, plus Winter Break and Champions Summer Break programs
• Price: 2025/2026 and 2026/2027 weekly rates for before- and after-school care, preschool/pre-K after-school, Winter Break full days, and Champions Summer Break days, with additional registration and activity fees, drop-in and non-school day rates, early release fees, and available multi-child, military, and school employee discounts
Teachers and staff undergo extensive training on health and safety practices, including pandemic-response protocols, and are trained in first aid and CPR. Teachers and staff members are trained in child development, early childhood education, or a related field, and criminal background checks are conducted on staff. The program includes a wellness screening located near the Family Communication Area, strict pick-up and drop-off procedures with sign-in/sign-out and photo ID requirements, and only authorized staff and families may enter sites. Sites include smoke detectors and fire extinguishers, use safe, non-toxic cleaning products with frequent hand washing, and have an emergency evacuation plan that is tested frequently, supported by a National Support Center crisis team during and after emergencies. Most sites offer breakfast, lunch, and snacks with menus that satisfy applicable federal and state nutrition guidelines, and outdoor play takes place only on safe, secure outdoor play spaces at the school or program location. All children must be signed in and out on a paper-based roster and/or computer system, and written authorization must be on file before a child is released to anyone.
