About
Stepping Stones Programs offers a Summer Day Camp where campers take part in hiking, boating, fishing, swimming, art, nature activities, sensory play, and daily swim time. Campers are grouped by age and take part in various adaptable activities led by highly trained staff.
• Ages: 5–18 years old
• Schedule: The 2025 Summer Day Camp season runs June 2 through August 1.
Since 1963, Stepping Stones has served individuals with disabilities and their families throughout Greater Cincinnati as a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering people with disabilities through innovative, inclusive, and person-centered programs. The organization’s mission is described as creating pathways to independence for people with disabilities in Cincinnati and opening doors to possibility and independence, with programs that help individuals build skills to live more independently and confidently. Stepping Stones also offers the Step Up Program for students with autism and behavioral needs who have not been able to succeed in a traditional classroom setting, day programs for adults with disabilities that include life skills training, recreational activities, and community involvement, respite care for Cincinnati families for short-term support, and additional programs for adults with disabilities that provide structured, enriching experiences and activities that promote inclusion and engagement.
All staff are fingerprinted and pass state and federal background checks, and team members maintain up-to-date CPR and First Aid certifications. Each site includes a licensed or med-certified nurse for medical support. In partnership with public schools across Greater Cincinnati, students attend classes at the Given Campus in Indian Hill, and Stepping Stones offers a variety of year-round programs at four Greater Cincinnati locations, including sites in Batavia, Indian Hill, Norwood, and Western Hills.
