Activities Beyond the Classroom (ABC) Programs offers extracurricular programming in arts, athletics, and wellness for Cincinnati Public Schools students. The program supports students through a broad range of athletic and extracurricular programs and oversees district-wide enrichment programs and high school athletics.
• Schedule: Core hours of operation Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–3:00 PM
Beginning in 2004 to increase and enhance extracurricular activities for Cincinnati Public School students, Activities Beyond the Classroom has supported the CPS community for over 20 years. ABC’s mission is to help students succeed through equitable opportunities in arts, athletics, and wellness that build character, ignite passions, and instill values that last a lifetime. ABC works with nearly 100 partners to deliver extracurricular programming to CPS students at no cost to children or their families and now serves over 27,000 students annually through its free programming. The organization assists with over 200 programs and activities each year and administers well over 100 donor-directed funds for programs benefiting Cincinnati students, totaling over $600,000 in financial support and affecting over 10,000 CPS students every year. ABC also provides fiscal sponsorship, administrative management, and nonprofit mentoring to initiatives throughout the city, and its athletic director has received national certification.
