Reaching Heights offers programs that include Many Villages In-School Tutoring, the Exceptional Children's Advocacy Group (ECAG), Role Models, Community Care Teams, Music Lesson Scholarships, Summer Music Camp, Reaching Musical Heights, a Community Adult Spelling Bee, School-Community Communications, and the Proud & Grateful Thank-a-Teacher initiative. Reaching Heights has three stated areas of focus: Teaching & Learning, Music and the Arts, and Community Engagement. ECAG works to build a greater understanding of issues surrounding special education by empowering, supporting, and providing educational opportunities to parents and caregivers in the Cleveland Heights-University Heights school district.

Reaching Heights mobilizes community resources to foster highly valued public schools that provide all Cleveland Heights-University Heights students a successful education. It is a citizen voice for public education and a resource for the students and educators of the Cleveland Heights-University Heights public schools. Reaching Heights is a membership organization governed by a board of directors who live or teach in the school district, and one director is a member of the CH-UH Board of Education. The superintendent of the CH-UH schools is an ex-officio member of the organization. Community resources connected with Reaching Heights include the CH-UH District Website, a Community Resource Guide, the Board of Education, Heights Libraries, Heights Observer, Heights Coalition for Public Education, the City of Cleveland Heights, and the City of University Heights. The leadership team includes Interim Executive Director Mazie Adams; Many Villages Interim Program Manager Shaquira Johnson; Parent Mentor Joy Howard; Interim Administrative Assistant Linda Dudzinsky; and board members Adoara Schmeidl (President), Jeff Walker (VP), Jennifer Lang (Treasurer), O'Dasha Blue (Educator), Sally Kramer (Community Leader), Marty Gelfand (Attorney), Josie Moore (Communications & Marketing Professional), Stephen Wertheim (Retired Non-Profit Administrator), Angela Stubbs (Client Service Manager, Strategic Risk), NiQuita Baker (Organization Manager, CMSD), Derek Solomon (CPA), Michael Dixon (Retired School Counselor), Irena Hawkins (Customer Strategist), and Phil Trimble (CH-UH Board of Education, Data Scientist). Staff experience includes Mazie’s prior service on the Reaching Heights board of directors, Shaquira’s 25-year corporate and nonprofit executive background in strategy, implementation, marketing, development, operations, and customer service, Joy’s 20 years in the medical field and 8 years as an informatics specialist, and Linda’s eight years as Media Ancillary at Fairfax Elementary School.
