Cleveland Botanical Garden Camps

Cleveland Botanical Garden Camps include real plant science, outdoor adventures, creative play, hands-on practice, creative crafts, immersive and sensory play, and activities that use imagination, creativity, stories, games, and art. Campers keep field journals, explore pollination through play, and take part in hands-on experiments, as well as discovering the power of wetlands and watersheds and going on a journey to the Cleveland Museum of Natural History. Additional activities include wild foraging, farming, learning about herbal remedies and vibrant dyes, using natural items and pigments to create art, filling nature art journals, creating sculptures, prints, and stamps, creating a collaborative camp mural, and taking a mini adventure to the Cleveland Museum of Art.

• Schedule: 3-day, half-day options and 5-day, full-day options
• Price: Little Naturalists: $170 member, $220 nonmember per session. Little Explorers: $170 member, $220 nonmember per session. Botany Buddies: $365 member, $415 nonmember. Plant Pioneers: $365 member, $415 nonmember. Natural Artists: $365 member, $415 nonmember.

Camp options include Little Naturalists and Little Explorers for ages 4–6, each offered as 3-day, half-day camps from 9am–Noon on specific weeks in June and July. Botany Buddies, Plant Pioneers, and Natural Artists serve ages 7–9 as 5-day, full-day camps from 9am–3pm on specific weeks in July. Campers visit University Circle institutions including the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, Cleveland Museum of Art, Museum of Contemporary Art, and Western Reserve Historical Society for enrichment opportunities facilitated by camp staff, and are introduced to naturalist tools like magnifying glasses and binoculars.
