Summer Nature Camps is a seasonal program that offers nature-focused camp sessions. All 2026 Summer Nature Camps can be found on the registration page, and registration requires creating an account and including all children to be registered for summer camps.
• Price: A non-refundable $10 copay is required by May 5th to reserve a child’s spot in their awarded camp.
Scholarships for Summer Nature Camps are offered through a special gift from the Cleveland Natural Science Club and other generous donors, and scholarship applications have closed for the 2026 season. Donations are welcome to support the Outdoor Experiences Scholarship Fund. Cleveland Metroparks, which operates these camps, was established as the Cleveland Metropolitan Park District in 1917 and has been led by executives including Harold W. Groth, Harold Schick, Lou E. Tsipis, Vern J. Hartenburg, and Brian M. Zimmerman. Cleveland Metroparks has received the National Gold Medal Award for Excellence in Park and Recreation Management from AAPRA five times, in 1994, 2001, 2007, 2016, and 2021.
