About
Columbus Children’s Theatre Youth & Family Programs include theatre for the very young productions that use sensory play and immersion. The program also includes the Sandbox Series, which focuses on brief, easily digestible theatre, the Spotlight Series for families and youth audiences, and the Professional Series with professional performers, designers, technicians, and advanced students. Columbus Children’s Theatre offers year-round theatre education, professional-level productions featuring youth and adult performers, sensory-friendly performances, touring programs, and scenic design services.

Since 1963, Columbus Children’s Theatre has been a cornerstone of youth arts education and performance in central Ohio. CCT serves more than 85,000 individuals annually through education, performance, and outreach and provides tuition assistance, subsidized tickets, outreach residencies, and workforce development opportunities. CCT is committed to anti-racism, equity, and accessibility and to creating a space of safety, strength, and belonging for those who are marginalized. The Youth & Family Programs feature faculty member Nick Cosgrove, who has worked as a professional singer, actor, voice teacher, and acting coach across the U.S. and Canada for over 20 years and holds a BFA in Acting/Musical Theatre from Carnegie Mellon University. CCT’s mission is to transform families through the power of the stage. A patron described a CCT production of Ragtime as inspiring and noted a standing ovation at the end of the first act.
