About
Columbus Glass Art Center Classes include fused glass classes where participants use cold sheets of fusible glass, special tools to cut the glass into shapes, and arrange the pieces into custom designs. The program also offers stained glass classes that involve cutting and grinding pieces of cold sheet glass to fit a pattern, then foiling and soldering the pieces together, as well as mosaic classes where participants arrange glass fragments on a tile and grout them into place. Additional options include flameworking classes using borosilicate glass on a Red Max torch to make larger and more advanced glass sculptures, and Hot Shop classes that work with molten glass from the furnace to blow hollow forms or sculpt solid glass using heat, color, and tools.
• Schedule: Class options Tuesday–Friday between 12pm–7pm and Saturday between 10am–4pm
