About
Columbus Glass Art Center Classes include Fused Glass classes that use cold sheets of fusible glass, special tools to cut the glass into shapes, and arranging those shapes into custom designs. The program also offers Stained Glass classes where participants cut and grind pieces of cold sheet glass to fit a pattern, then learn foiling and soldering to join the pieces. Additional options include Mosaics classes arranging glass fragments on a tile and grouting them into place, Flameworking classes using borosilicate glass on a Red Max torch to make larger and more advanced glass sculptures, and Hot Shop classes working with molten glass from the furnace to blow hollow forms or sculpt solid glass using heat, color, and tools.
