About

JCC of Greater Columbus Youth Recreation Sports Programs take place within the broader JCC of Greater Columbus, which offers fitness, sports, aquatics, cultural arts, and other programs for children and adults. These youth sports programs use state-of-the-art facilities that were expanded at the College Avenue site to increase fitness, sports, and community gathering space for young people and adults.

The JCC of Greater Columbus has served Columbus’ Jewish community since 1913 and opened its modern facility in 1983, later adding an Early Childhood Education wing and expanding Early Childhood programs to Dublin in 1996 and New Albany in 1998. A 43,000 square foot facility in New Albany was dedicated in 2009, and a 16,000 square foot expansion of the College Avenue facility followed in 2012. The organization launched its Virtual J platform in March 2020, began the “Our J. Our Future.” capital campaign in June 2024, and started work on the Andrew Ethan Stern Pickleball Complex in June 2025, with construction of the Sam Baker Aquatics Complex scheduled to begin in August 2025. The JCC’s mission is to offer programs that are Jewish in nature and to promote physical, intellectual, and spiritual wellness through educational, cultural, and health-related activities for individuals, families, and the wider community. Charity Navigator has awarded the organization four out of four stars for governance, best practices, and fiscal responsibility. The JCC of Greater Columbus serves more than 6,500 members in about 3,800 households in Central Ohio, operates additional facilities in Dublin and New Albany, and is a community partner of JewishColumbus.
