Swimming Lessons offers structured swimming lessons led by qualified swim lesson instructors. All classes are 30 minutes and are part of a program run by Columbus Recreation and Parks Department, which offers affordable swimming lessons.

• Ages: 6 months–18 years old
• Schedule: All classes are 30 minutes
• Price: $48 Per Session

Parent and Infant classes are for ages 6 months to 3 years. Pre-K classes are for ages 3–5. School Age classes are for ages 6–14 years, and Adult classes are for ages 15 and older. Financial Assistance PLAY Scholarships are available to help cover $20 in fees.

Columbus Recreation and Parks Department was established as the City Recreation Department on July 15, 1910, and merged with the Division of Forestry and Parks on January 2, 1972, to become Columbus Recreation and Parks Department. The department has grown from six parks to more than 400 parks on over 13,500 acres and has established 28 community centers, five athletic complexes, six golf courses, 230 miles of regional trails, six spraygrounds and interactive fountains, eight outdoor pools and an indoor aquatics center, 25 nature preserves, three reservoirs, five dog parks, a skate park, and a range of programs for toddlers to seniors. Its stated mission is: “We connect the people of our community through the power of nature, wellness and creativity.”
