YMCA Swim Lessons offers swim lessons, private swim lessons, and water exercise classes. Sessions take place in YMCA pools, including warm water and indoor pools. Swim lessons are overseen by certified swimming instructors and lifeguards.
• Ages: 0–18 years old
• Schedule: Sessions are typically six weeks
• Price: Pricing will be prorated if a holiday or closure affects swim lessons
The program uses a progressive, learn to swim curriculum that emphasizes proper swimming technique and water safety. Swim lessons are overseen by certified instructors who provide training in a safe and fun way. YMCA pool rules and safety guidelines include swimmer supervision, age and swim test requirements, and expectations to help keep all members safe. Staff training includes CPR, AED, First Aid and Oxygen Administration. Financial assistance is offered thanks to generous donors, and YMCA members get priority registration a week before non-members. The YMCA offers award-winning swim lessons. For more than 160 years, the YMCA has nurtured potential and united communities across America to create lasting, meaningful change.
