About
Cuyahoga Valley Art Center Classes & Workshops offers visual art classes and workshops in a wide variety of mediums for beginning to advanced students. The program also includes exhibitions that are free for public viewing and a quarterly critique event called Bites and Insights: A Quarterly Critique Night.
• Schedule: Gallery hours during most of the year are Monday–Tuesday 10 am–3 pm, Wednesday 3–8 pm, Thursday–Friday 10 am–3 pm, and Saturday 10 am–2 pm; summer gallery hours from June 15–27 are Monday–Friday 10 am–3 pm and Saturday 10 am–2 pm; office hours are Monday–Friday 10 am–3 pm; Bites and Insights is scheduled for Monday, June 29, 6:30–8:30 pm.
• Price: Individual Membership: $45; Senior Membership (65+): $40; Dual Membership (2 Adults): $80; Sustainer Membership: $100; Business Membership: $250.
Cuyahoga Valley Art Center states that it supports the learning community of practicing artists, providing a space where creativity and education flourish. All memberships are tax-deductible. Membership benefits include free membership to the Akron Art Museum, priority class registration, discounted pricing on Cuyahoga Valley Art Center visual art classes and workshops, discounted exhibition entry fees, access to exclusive membership exhibitions, framing discounts at Up Front Art Space, and volunteer opportunities at events and on committees. Business Membership includes exhibition and event sponsorship opportunities. Memberships purchased after September 1st are valid for the remainder of that year and the entire following calendar year, and membership payments are transitioning to a new online platform, with memberships currently available for renewal or purchase by phone or mail.
