Nan Klinger Excellence in Dance

Nan Klinger Excellence in Dance offers dance classes that include Preschool Ballet, as well as classical, neo-classical, and contemporary works. The program empowers young dancers with professional guidance from day one and accepts new students. It is a traditional studio that offers quality dance classes from beginner through advanced and offers both a community program and a professional program.

The program has provided what it describes as the finest dance training in the region since 1953 and the best dance training in northeast Ohio since 1953. Classes are taught by internationally-recognized choreographers and coaches in classical, neo-classical, contemporary works and more, and the studio is led by what it describes as the area’s most experienced and professional faculty in an environment that encourages creativity, values and love of dance. The mission of Nan Klinger Excellence in Dance is inspiring students to fulfill their highest potential within a caring and nurturing environment. The studio focuses on nurturing each individual student’s physical and emotional well-being, building their technical skills and developing them as individual artists.

Nan Klinger Excellence in Dance offers a Young Dancer Program for ages 3–6 years old, a Dancer Enrichment Program for ages 6 and up, and a Pre-Professional Program for ages 8 and up. Performance opportunities are offered to all levels of students at the end of each school year in an annual Workshop performance, and pre-professional students can further their performance opportunities with Ballet Excel Ohio, founded in 1975. Nan Klinger Excellence in Dance is home to the Cuyahoga Valley Youth Ballet as well as a community ballet program for kids of all ages and interests.
