Police and Youth Together (PAYT)

Youth Leadership Development Programs (including Police and Youth Together) run as part of NCCJ of Greater Dayton’s focus on youth leadership development. The programs operate within a broader effort that also includes workplace diversity and inclusion and community advocacy and action.

• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.

Since its founding in 1978, NCCJ of Greater Dayton has opposed bias, bigotry, and discrimination in neighborhoods, schools, pulpits, and workplaces throughout the region. The organization’s mission is to educate and empower communities to eliminate bias, bigotry, and all forms of discrimination. Its vision is thriving, equitable communities where diversity is celebrated, and its core values are Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion; Passion; Accountability; Ethics; Continuous Learning; Trust; and Collaboration. The leadership team includes Executive Director Adriane Miller; Program Managers Justin Duran, Mikayla Seman, and Solomon Jones; Assistant Director of Education Hannah Brown; Director of Education Lake Miller; Executive Assistant Michelle Dixon; Board Chair Alan Weeter of Thompson Hine, LLP; and Vice Board Chair Kyla Woods of Montgomery County Human Services Planning and Development, along with other named board members and their affiliations. NCCJ states that it is an expert in diversity and inclusion and offers diversity education and consultation to businesses, organizations, and individuals. NCCJ also states that it values the privacy of supporters and youth program participants and does not share information gathered when someone makes a donation or registers for a youth program. One testimonial from a Dayton area business leader notes that NCCJ’s structured discussions and activities offered new perspectives on race and environment.
