Stratford Ecological Center Education Programs take place on an educational farm and nature preserve where participants explore the land, hike 4 miles of nature trails, visit the livestock, and tour the gardens and greenhouses. Program activities include exploring the creek, pond, prairie, and swamps of the State Nature Preserve, gathering eggs, growing food for neighbors, caring for the forest, and chasing fireflies.

Stratford Ecological Center Education Programs are part of a 236 acre outdoor classroom that includes an educational farm and nature preserve with 4 miles of nature trails, livestock, gardens and greenhouses, and a State Nature Preserve with a creek, pond, prairie, and swamps. Stratford’s mission states that it is dedicated to the education of children and adults in understanding the relationships between living things and their environment, thereby fostering an appreciation for the land and all life that depends on it, and its mission includes teaching children where their food and fiber come from and reconnecting them to the wonders of the natural world. Articles of Incorporation for Stratford were filed with the State of Ohio in October 1990. The leadership team includes Erin Gliatta (Executive Director), Jeff Dickinson (Farmer, Educator, Researcher), Madison Corna (Business & Operations Manager), Jennifer Rhoads (Development Director), Kat O'Malley (Education Director), and Margot DeMeo (Visitor & Volunteer Coordinator). Stratford is a community run organization with over 250 active volunteers and, as a private nonprofit organization that does not receive state or federal funding, it relies on the participation and engagement of a community of donors and volunteers. Stratford also hosts a signature fundraising event called the Give to Grow Gala.
