The Child Garden

The Child Garden offers infants and toddlers care for children ages 6 weeks to 36 months, preschool for ages 3 to 5, private preschool for ages 3 to 5, before and after school care for ages 5 to 12, summer programs and camp for ages 6 to 12, sign language for all ages, special programs in phonics, math, and tutoring, and fitness and yoga. It also offers back-up and drop-in care.

Programs

• Infants & Toddlers — 6 weeks to 36 months · Designed for the youngest learners. Provides customized routines for infants, then a balanced mix of compassionate care, playful exploration, and foundational skill development for toddlers.
• Preschool — 3 to 5 · Engages young learners with activities that cater to their curiosities and support their academic and social development. Aims to prepare preschoolers for kindergarten and beyond.
• Private Preschool — 3 to 5 · Offered at all locations. Can be enrolled in only or as an add-on to daycare programming. Educators with Child Development Associate credentials or higher facilitate the program.
• Before & After School — 5-12
• Back-up/Drop-in Care — Flexible, unscheduled care. Families should contact one of the centers to learn about pre-registering.
• Summer Programs & Camp — 6-12 · Combines educational activities with enjoyable field trips and is designed for children aged 6-12.
• Sign Language — all ages · Inclusive program seamlessly integrated into the curriculum at no additional tuition cost, promoting accessibility and early bilingual communication.
• Special Programs: Phonics, Math, and Tutoring — Tailored educational experiences to foster academic proficiency and growth.
• Fitness & Yoga — Cater to developing healthy lifestyles from an early age, fostering strength, flexibility, and endurance.

About the provider

The original center in LaGrange was founded in 1997. The stated purpose of the center is to provide quality child care and pre-school for the community, and that each child has a kind, safe, healthy, nurturing environment in which they can be the unique individual that they are. The Child Garden also offers transportation to and from local schools.
