KAMP Dovetail is a volunteer-run summer camp where each child is teamed with their own camp volunteer. The camp staff selects a theme each year, and the 2026 theme will be “KAMP Dovetail-Stars, Stripes and Smiles-Celebrating America's 250th birthday.”
• Schedule: The week of KAMP Dovetail starts Monday, June 22, 2026.
• Price: This combination of an all volunteer staff and their year long fund-raising campaigns allows the camp to be offered at a fraction of the cost charged by other similar camps.
KAMP (Kids And Motivated People) Dovetail is sponsored by Supplementary Assistance to The Handicapped (S.A.T.H.), a non-profit organization. The camp is for children with disabilities in Highland and surrounding counties of Ohio. Everyone at the camp is a volunteer, and none of the individuals are paid for their time. The volunteer staff works throughout the year to secure donations of cash and supplies from area merchants and individuals. The camp has been operating in this way for over 30 years.
