About
Kettering Recreation Complex Youth Programs and Camps include activities such as swimming, ice skating, fitness and wellness programs, a youth basketball league, Saturday Pickleball, Sunday Adult Volleyball, and Sunday Community Gym. The programs take place in a facility that also offers an indoor pool, Adventure Reef Water Park, gymnasium rentals, childcare, and information about inclement weather, holiday closures, and special holiday hours.
• Schedule: Facility and track hours run Monday–Thursday 5:30 a.m.–10 p.m., Friday 5:30 a.m.–8 p.m., Saturday 7 a.m.–6 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m.–6 p.m.; business hours are Monday–Friday 7 a.m.–8 p.m., Saturday 8 a.m.–5 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m.–5 p.m., with full-day closures on New Year’s Day, Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day, and 2 p.m. closures on Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Christmas Eve, and New Year’s Eve.
The facility includes the Kettering Ice Arena, a lap pool and spa, a multipurpose gymnasium, a walk/run track, a nursery, aerobics and fitness rooms, and meeting rooms. The leadership team includes Bill Tschirhart, Director of Parks, Recreation & Cultural Arts; Lindsey Whitley, Administrative Assistant; Jen Brandt, Recreation Programs Superintendent; Chris George, Superintendent of Administration and Special Projects; Shauna Lewallen, Recreation Operations Superintendent; Shayna V. McConville, Division Manager of Cultural Arts; Gary Schussler, Parks Superintendent; and Rachel Sherwood, Fraze Pavilion Manager.
