Horizon Education Centers

Horizon Education Centers offers infant care with personalized attention and developmentally appropriate activities. It also offers toddler care with peer interaction, number sense, arts and crafts, and large motor activities, plus preschool with a kindergarten readiness focus based on Teaching Strategies Creative Curriculum Gold. School-age children can attend before-school, wrap-around, and after-school programs, and summer camp is also offered.

Programs

• Infant Care — 6 weeks - 18 months · Nurturing and comprehensive infant program with personalized attention and developmentally appropriate activities.
• Toddler Care — 18 - 36 months · Social and educational activities emphasizing learning and development; includes peer interaction, number sense, arts and crafts, and large motor activities.
• Preschool — 3 - 5 years · Educational preschool program with kindergarten readiness focus and development standards based on Teaching Strategies Creative Curriculum Gold.
• School Age — 6 - 14 years · Before-school, wrap-around and after-school programs at many schools in Western Cuyahoga/Lorain County and at Horizon Centers.
• Summer Camp — 6 - 14 years

• General schedule: Open year-round.
• Facility hours: All child care centers are open 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Afterschool hours vary by location.

Horizon Education Centers has been open for over 45 years, since 1978. Its mission is to provide high-quality early childhood education, care and youth development programs. Its programs and activities are highly rated by Step Up to Quality and are high-quality by the State of Ohio.

Registration for Fall Enrollment is open. Horizon Education Centers are closed on select dates throughout the year.
