Springfield Family YMCA Swim Lesson Programs

Springfield Family YMCA Swim Lesson Programs offer swim lessons for all ages and capabilities all year long. The program includes a variety of swim lessons in group and private settings, as well as Parent & Child Swim Lessons where parents accompany their children in each class. The YMCA of Greater Dayton offers these swimming lessons from the American Red Cross, and a Swim Lesson Level Finder tool is available to help place swimmers in appropriate levels.

• Ages: 0–18 years old
• Schedule: Branch hours Monday–Thursday 5:00am–9:00pm, Friday 5:00am–8:00pm, Saturday 8:00am–6:00pm, and Sunday 1:00pm–5:00pm

Parents must accompany children to each Parent & Child Swim Lessons class, including Parent & Child Swim Lessons Level 1 and Level 2. Children must be at least 6 months old for Parent & Child Swim Lessons Level 1. Free Child Watch is available for children ages 6 weeks to 11 years old at set times throughout the week. The YMCA of Greater Dayton also offers lifeguard certification courses at many locations. The organization’s mission is to strengthen community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Thousands of volunteers every year support the YMCA’s mission. The leadership team includes an Aquatics Director and a Swim Team Director connected to the swim programs.
