Urbana Youth Center is a project of the GrandWorks Foundation, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) public charity organization. The program team at Urbana Youth Center brings more than a century of combined education and program experience to the program.
• Ages: 11–18 years old
• Price: The UYC provides free membership to students in grades 6-12 in the geographic area of Urbana City Schools.
The Urbana Youth Center provides comprehensive youth services to reach, restore, and revive the community. With open hearts, open minds, and open doors, the program educates students through respectful, honest, and open-minded programming. Including official advisors and volunteer advisors, the entire program team at Urbana Youth Center brings more than a century of combined education and program experience. Urbana Youth Center is committed to maintaining exacting standards of excellence for its team members to provide an outstanding student experience. For the safety and privacy of students and team members, portions of the public version of the Policy & Procedure Handbook have been redacted. A partnership of public, private, and faith-based organizations has come together to see the mission accomplished, and the program relies on the community’s ongoing investment both financially and as volunteers. Justin T. Weller is the Executive Director of Urbana Youth Center.
