About

Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park offers the Youth Classical Theatre Conservatory, a summer training program that teaches Shakespeare, acting, voice, movement, text analysis, and ensemble building. It also offers Day with Shakespeare, an annual student matinee for about 1,000 students, plus Shakespeare Lab and Shakespeare Studio, a weekly program for adult learners, emerging artists, and university students that includes text work, scene study, voice training, and performance practice.

About the provider

Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park was founded in 1985. Its mission is to produce bold, re-imagined, entertaining and accessible interpretations of Shakespeare and the classics. Its educational outreach includes student matinees, touring performances, artist-in-residence training, youth training camps, workshops, residencies, community engagement events, and venues available for rentals to schools, theatres, and community organizations.

Ticket prices are kept affordable through grant support. Discounts are offered to youth and underserved communities through matinees, touring shows, and residencies.
