The camp environment is based on the Christian values of dignity, service, kindness, and compassion, and servant leadership is at the core of NBC Camps. NBC's training curriculum focuses on shooting form, defensive intensity, offensive skills, teamwork, basketball IQ, and leadership, and NBC stands for “Nothing Beats Commitment,” with the motto “better players, better people.” Since 1971, NBC Basketball Camps have been training athletes to excel on and off the court and are celebrating 55 years of camp excellence, and NBC Camps is described as one of the largest and most respected sports camps in the world, located in six countries with many different programs and training options, including international travel teams for athletes ages 14–18.

NBC Camps coaches are known for their hard work, great attitude, and commitment to helping campers reach their potential on and off the court, and the camp offers high quality instruction and supervision in a spacious gym with approximately a 1:10 staff-to-camper ratio. Coaches and campers are responsible for providing energy, enthusiasm, and encouragement to create a positive culture and ideal learning environment, and each moment at camp is described as having a purpose and meaning. Campers receive a camp t-shirt, and the program focuses on training the total athlete while teaching the importance of gratitude, confidence, goals, self-discipline, mental toughness, building stronger families and friendships, and developing a strong personal faith that provides strength to encounter any challenge.

Families are asked to send a sack lunch each day, a basketball clearly labeled with the camper’s name, a water bottle for breaks, and well-broken-in basketball (court) shoes, and players should supply their own athletic equipment. NBC Camps is not responsible for lost or stolen items, transportation is not provided, and campers are responsible for getting to and from camp on their own, with no supervision before or after camp hours, so pick-up arrangements need to match camp times. Allergies, dietary restrictions, and medical concerns should be included on registration so campus staff and camp staff can be prepared for the camper’s arrival. One camper, Lucie, shared the feedback, “Camp was really good and all the coaches were great!”
