The program states that it offers opportunities for participation and support for student-athletes regardless of gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, or disability.

The athletic program’s mission emphasizes discovery, excellence, diversity, and global citizenship, and states that athletics at Pacific provide support and encouragement for student-athletes in their academic success, personal growth, and physical well-being. The program places a strong emphasis on fair play, sportsmanship, high standards of ethical conduct, adherence to NCAA rules, and the principles of amateur competition. It also states a commitment to providing equal opportunities and experiences for both men and women and notes that it is proactive in following the program areas of compliance outlined in Title IX to ensure gender equity.

The Athletic department supports the university’s objective of promoting and encouraging a community enriched by men and women of diverse backgrounds. The mission further states that Pacific University supports student-athletes with facilities, coaching, and program support aimed at competitive success in the Northwest Conference and against NCAA Division III competition, and that the department strives to contribute to campus life, spirit, and morale for students, faculty, and staff.
