About
Artingales offers hands-on art activities that include Sharpie® & Pastel Selfies, Acrylic Painted Landscapes, Needle Felted Mushrooms, Pen and Ink Animations, Slab-built Clay Houses, and Screenprinted Fish. Summer camps for youth and teens explore various mediums through a flexible theme with time for free creation and socializing. Campers are required to bring a sack lunch for camps that span the lunch hour. Most camps require a non-refundable but transferable deposit once minimum enrollment is met.
• Ages: 5–17 years old
• Schedule: Hours vary, with general availability Monday–Friday from 11:00AM–7:00PM and additional weekend options depending on workshops
Artingales was founded in 2016. The founding artist, April Hoff, holds an interdisciplinary degree in fine art with an emphasis in painting and drawing and has seven years of experience working with SpEd students in Oregon school districts. Teaching philosophies include differentiated learning and experiential learning, and the program allows failure to happen through experimentation, with the belief that failure aids in learning. Artingales is mobile and operates in various local schools for after school art programming, teaches at Valley Art, and is available for small groups in Forest Grove, Oregon, now serving schools and individuals in Forest Grove, Banks, Cornelius, Gaston, Gales Creek, and North Plains. The mission includes a special commitment to providing free art classes to underserved children through grants, profits, and donations, and full and partial scholarships may be available. Families with neurodivergent children still enroll in Artingales art clubs and camps.
