Camp Koinonia serves as a summer camp for children and also hosts church retreats and family reunions. The program can also use the grounds as an outdoor classroom for homeschool groups or outdoor school.
• Price: It was important to the founders that all children have access to an affordable summer camp experience. As the cost of other summer camps rise, Camp K remains affordable. Scholarships are also available through area churches.
With the love and vision of Mr. and Mrs. James Stock in 1965, this 15-acre site was gifted to the Independent Christian Churches. Camp Koinonia is dedicated to the ministry of Jesus Christ. Scholarships are available through area churches.
One parent, Alexander M., shared that the camp sign names Jesus and that the property is dedicated to his ministry, and described having an unforgettable time there. Another visitor, Daniel O., said the space allowed him to get closer to his Father and that he felt a strong presence on the property. Dan S. thanked those who keep and maintain the camp and said the love of God is evident and permeates the entire camp.
