About
Camp Koinonia is a Christian camp dedicated to the ministry of Jesus Christ. It is used as a summer camp, an outdoor classroom for homeschool groups or outdoor school, and as a peaceful setting for church retreats or family reunions. The camp is described as a place of worship, fellowship, and meditation surrounded by God's creation.
• Price: Camp Koinonia states that as the cost of other summer camps rise, Camp K remains affordable.
In 1965, the 15-acre site was gifted to the Independent Christian Churches through the love and vision of Mr. and Mrs. James Stock. The camp’s mission states that it is dedicated to the ministry of Jesus Christ and that it was important to the founders that all children have access to an affordable summer camp experience. Scholarships are available through area churches.
One camper, Alexander M., shared that he appreciated seeing the name “JESUS” on the sign and described the property as dedicated to his ministry, saying he had an unforgettable time there. Another visitor, Daniel O., said he used the space to get closer to “our Father” and felt a strong presence on the property. Dan S. described the camp as a special place where the love of God is evident and said it invites weary people to rest and restore, sharing that he has freely received God’s grace through the camp.
