One River School Lake Oswego Summer Camps offers weekly studio and digital art camps that include activities such as Watercolor Illustration, iPad Painting, Street Art: Glitch Edition, OC Glass Painting, One Artwork a Day, Kawaii Creations, Glow It Up: Black Light Painting, 3D Dinos, and Illuminated Creations. Campers are asked to pack a light, nut-free snack and water bottle, and a nut-free lunch if staying all day, and to wear comfortable, art-friendly clothing. For Procreate, photography, video, and iPad classes and camps, each student brings their own iPad, stylus, or camera, while all other tools and materials are provided.
One River School’s summer camps are led by practicing artists, designers, and animators who bring their real-world experience into each camp and are described as supportive mentors who meet students where they are and guide them forward. Lesson plans draw inspiration from contemporary artists, and projects are described as age-appropriate, engaging, and reflective of the world around students. The program offers over 90–100 weekly camp options across about 10 weeks, with small class sizes, individualized attention, seamless camp switch options pending availability, and all materials included except for specified technology-based camps. A typical week at One River Camp includes themed days: Monday Creative Ideation, Tuesday Meet the Artist, Wednesday Learn Technique, Thursday Skill Building, and Friday Show Time.
