Brethren Family Camp takes place at Camp Myrtlewood, which encompasses 158 acres of temperate rainforest with streams, serene meadows, and rustic buildings. Camp Myrtlewood was established in 1936 and was founded on land donated for the purpose of creating a space for spiritual renewal, education, and recreation. Camp Myrtlewood operates under the auspices of the Church of the Brethren and welcomes over 2,000 visitors each year. The camp’s mission states that it inspires transformation and community connection through hospitality, education, and environmental stewardship, and that it provides a welcoming, inclusive retreat for spiritual renewal, lifelong learning, and involvement in environmental conservation. Camp Myrtlewood describes itself as a sanctuary of environmental stewardship and hospitality where everyone is welcome. The Brethren Family Camp session is managed by Shauna Danielson and Joshua Danielson, who are listed as Camp Managers.
