Not Back to School Camp

Not Back to School Camp is an overnight summer camp for ages 13–18, with older campers ages 19–22 also welcomed through an additional application process and additional agreements. Campers and staff co-create workshops, spontaneous events, and special evening gatherings, and campers often make their own decisions about bedtimes and activities. Clear agreements are expected.

Not Back to School Camp is non-denominational and non-religious. Its mission statement says the camp aspires to create a sanctuary that affirms, inspires, and mentors unschoolers, where campers and staff transform spiritually, emotionally, physically, creatively, and intellectually, and where profound friendships begin and grow.

NBTSC is non-denominational and non-religious. Campers and staff co-create workshops, spontaneous events, and special evening gatherings. Campers often make their own decisions about bedtimes and activities. Clear agreements are expected. Families must provide accurate email addresses for authorized account users. A non-refundable $250 deposit is due at registration; remaining balance is due June 1. Tuition is based on a 3-tier income scale and early registration deadline is normally March 31.
