About
Pendleton Center for the Arts offers live music performances in the Pearson Auditorium, contemporary art exhibits in the East Oregonian Gallery, and the Art of the Gift exhibit. The program includes Art Rocks Teens FREE classes for 13–18 year-olds, Rock & Roll Camp, and free Creation Station time with hands-on, make-and-take art projects. Youth, teens, and adults can take art and music classes such as learning to play the guitar and exploring clay, browse the galleries, and shop in the Pendleton Foundation Trust Fine Craft Gallery for finely crafted wearable and functional art, souvenirs, and Hiroko Cannon reproductions.

The program also offers First Draft Writers’ Series events, First Saturday Spin-Ins, literary arts, dance and live music events, and the option to hold events in its historic building. Families and groups can take part in field trips, gallery tours with age-appropriate, hands-on projects, walking tours of the building, and watch Hiroko Cannon on Oregon Art Beat. Each holiday season, the program features fresh wreaths by Kris O’Grady and The Wreath Bar, along with a miniature basket competition and exhibition. The Arts Council of Pendleton, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, operates Pendleton Center for the Arts and states that its mission is to provide opportunities for creative expression and community connection through experiences, education and advocacy in the arts. The fiscal health of the Arts Council of Pendleton depends on members and on individuals and local businesses who help with sponsorships and additional donations.
