About

Philomath Youth Activities Club Childcare (STARS & Fun in the Sun) includes activities such as sports, games, reading, swimming, field trips, science experiments, and arts & crafts projects. STARS (Super Time for Art, Recreation, and Sports) is described as an enriched childcare program, and Fun in the Sun is an all-day summer camp offered by PYAC for children entering 1st grade through age 12. Fun in the Sun has weekly themes and a detailed itinerary offered at the beginning of each week of camp.

• Ages: 5–12 years old
• Schedule: After-school care on school days, select non-school and in-service day care, and a summer camp running June 17–August 21, with weekday options
• Price: On select non-school and in-service days, childcare is $50/day. 2025–26 STARS prices are: Full Time (Monday–Friday until 6:00 p.m.) at $350/month; Early Pick Up (Monday–Friday until 4:30 p.m.) at $300/month; Drop In (select days until 6:00 p.m.) at $30/day. Limited scholarships are available. For the 2026 Fun in the Sun camp, registration before May 15th avoids a $25 registration fee.

STARS is offered after school each day at Clemens Primary School from after school until 6:00 p.m., and it opens early on Fridays. On select non-school and in-service days, PYAC offers a separate childcare program from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and for these days PYAC provides two snacks while families send a sack lunch. Fun in the Sun camp is held Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and the program offers full-time care billed by the week and drop-in care billed by the day. Registration forms must be received at least 24 hours in advance for both STARS in-service day care and Fun in the Sun, and Fun in the Sun registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis with a maximum daily attendance of 50 children, which may lead to a waitlist for certain days.
