Emergent Education Tutoring offers personalized K–12 tutoring and academic coaching in subjects including math, science, English Language Arts, history and social studies, and foreign languages. The program provides support in areas such as elementary through high school math (including Algebra I & II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, IB Math, and Probability & Statistics), elementary through high school science (including Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Computer Science), reading and writing, literature, and languages such as Spanish, French, German, and Mandarin. It also offers academic coaching, executive functioning support, homeschool support, gifted and talented support, anxiety management, and support for learning differences including Autism (ASD), ADHD, Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, and Dyscalculia, as well as SAT, ACT, PSAT, SAT subject tests, SAT essay, GED prep, and college admissions counseling with college selection, application strategy, and essay support.

Emergent Education Tutoring offers in-person and online tutoring and does not have a central tutoring office. In-person tutoring is typically conducted at the student’s home or at a public meeting space such as a local library or cafe. The program matches tutors to students based on learning style, academic goals, and availability, and many tutors are multi-subject generalists able to support students across academic areas and school years.

Tutor Ben Schulman has teaching and tutoring experience in STEM and the humanities since 2019 and holds B.A. degrees in Mathematics and in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology from Lewis and Clark College. Tutor Ron Antlitz has teaching and tutoring experience across subjects and grade levels with an emphasis on special education since 1996, holds a Masters in Teaching from Goucher College, was named the 2023 Clackamas ESD Teacher of the Year, has won the North Clackamas Star Award for excellence in teaching, and has been featured as an “Everyday Hero” on KATU news.
