Foothills Soccer Club offers Recreational Soccer, Academy Soccer, and a Developmental Academy, along with Academy Tryouts. The club also runs Spring 2026 Recreational Soccer and Spring 2026 Developmental Academy programs.

Foothills Soccer Club was founded in the early 1980s as a recreational level soccer club and has served families in Southwest Portland for over 40 years. Over the past nearly 40 years, it has grown to become a fully integrated soccer club that supports youth soccer from pre-kindergarten through high school. The club’s mission is to create a life-long love of soccer for its members, and its motto is “Competitive Spirit. Community Soul.”
Foothills Soccer Club is Southwest Portland’s largest non-profit soccer club and is a non-profit 501(c)(3) run by a volunteer board of directors. The leadership team includes Zach Fritz (President), Jim Meurer (Vice President), Foday Kabba (Academy Director), Christie Still (Recreational Director), Mary Ford (Academy Registrar), Jakob Dvorscak (Secretary), Ingrid Beaver (Treasurer), Joel Burslem (Community Relations), Kyle Lusk (Marketing Coordinator), and Cindi Lombard (Equipment Coordinator). The club describes itself as a community-centric youth soccer club with soccer opportunities for all levels and a path for all players, regardless of where they are on their soccer journey.
Foothills Soccer Club has a strong scholarship program which states that money is not a barrier to participation. The club is running a Home Turf Campaign and is raising funds to develop a new soccer facility. The club states that diversity and inclusion make the community stronger and that it does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, citizenship, disability, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or veteran status.
