K-Lean's Tennis was established in 2004 and has been in business for 17 plus years. The founder, Kaleen Worley, started her own tennis business K-Lean’s and is a USPTA certified professional and tennis professional. She is a certified USPTA P2 tennis professional and has been teaching tennis for 20 plus years. She played collegiate tennis on scholarship at NWAACC and NAIA division, played No. 1 seed for her teams, and, with her doubles partner, won the NWAACC Division Women’s Doubles Title. The stated goal of K-Lean’s Tennis is to use tennis to assist each player to achieve their personal greatness and to provide a means of healthy recreation and exercise for Portland-based kids and adults while growing the game of tennis. The program description states that through tennis it creates a fun and energetic atmosphere for kids and adults to meet new people and increase their fitness level, and that its system is dedicated to giving each player the skills and knowledge to achieve their greatness. It also states a goal of providing coaching, challenging practices, hitting partners, and a friendly supportive team atmosphere for tennis players of all ages and levels.

One testimonial from a tennis student, Carla Ikehara (age 29), states that Kaleen is “amazing,” that tennis has evolved since she learned in the 1980s, and that Kaleen brought her game into the 21st century with minimal changes to her technique, helping her transition easily and continue to compete successfully while breaking bad habits that had led to injury. Another testimonial from Debbie Stringer states that Kaleen helped her daughter improve her tennis game, that her daughter’s backhand and serve have never been better, and that her daughter finished in the top ten in the Portland regionals.
