Mount Tabor Soccer Club offers recreational soccer for kids. The program focuses on organized soccer activities for youth players.
• Ages: 5–13 years old
Mount Tabor Soccer Club provides affordable recreational soccer to hundreds of kids in grades K–8 in Southeast Portland. All youth are eligible to play. It is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization and a member club of Portland Youth Soccer Association. The leadership team includes Herc Silverstein (President and Coaching Coordinator), Charley Meser (Treasurer), Stefania Hardy (Secretary), Izaac Spencer and Jessica Miller (Equipment Managers), Alex Dawson (Fields), and Joanna Goebel (Member-at-large). The club’s stated goal is to enhance the lives of families in its area, strengthen its community, and further the game of soccer. Equipment Managers order equipment such as nets, first aid kits, and balls in May or June for Soccerfest and provide coaches with replacement equipment as needed.
