Mount Tabor Soccer Club offers recreational soccer for kids in grades K–8. The program includes organized soccer games during a fall season.
• Ages: 5–13 years old
• Schedule: Fall season with registration for 1st–8th grade closing July 15, late registration for 1st–8th grade starting July 16, KinderKickers late registration starting August 24, first games on September 5, and last games on October 24
Mount Tabor Soccer Club provides affordable recreational soccer to hundreds of kids in grades K–8 in Southeast Portland. All youth are eligible to play. It is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization. The club’s stated goal is to enhance the lives of families in its area, strengthen its community, and further the game of soccer. Mount Tabor Soccer Club is a member club of Portland Youth Soccer Association.
The leadership team includes Board President Herc Silverstein, Treasurer Charley Meser, Secretary Stefania Hardy, Registrar (email protected), Member-at-Large Joanna Goebel, Coaching Coordinator Herc Silverstein, Equipment Managers Izaac Spencer and Jessica Miller, and Fields coordinator Alex Dawson. Equipment Managers order equipment such as nets, first aid kits, and balls in May or June for Soccerfest and provide coaches with replacement equipment as needed.
