Portland Chaos Volleyball Club offers volleyball and beach volleyball. The program includes indoor volleyball training and a beach volleyball component for certain teams.
• Schedule: Beach volleyball for 18U Elite and 17U National teams starts in June and runs through August 27th
• Price: 18U Elite & 17U National - $4,500; 15/16U National - $4,000; 16U Gold - $3,400; Regional teams - $2,900
Portland Chaos Volleyball Club was established in 2020. Its mission is to provide a safe, diverse, and inclusive environment while training young athletes to build fundamentals and play competitively in pursuit of excellence in volleyball, and to empower young volleyball athletes to be leaders, passionate, respectful, and resilient. The club states that it will use volleyball to promote inclusivity of all ethnicities, genders, ages, faith, or level of ability, and that all are welcome.
All payments, including club fees, camps, clinics, drop-ins, and tryout fees, are non-refundable. When a player commits to the season, parents and players sign a payment contract or letter of commitment and are responsible for the full club fee payment regardless of the reason a player quits. If the club season is cancelled, tournament fees, gym fees, and coaches’ fees will be refunded. The program enforces a “No pay, No play” policy if payments are one month past due. Parents receive two notifications via email before coaches are notified.
All club fees include CEVA/USAV gym insurance, gym cost, practices 2–3 times a week, Chaos gear, coaches’ stipend, coaches’ travel and lodging, admin fee, volleyball equipment, and tournament fees. Chaos gear included in fees is as follows: Elite and National teams receive 3 jerseys, spandex/shorts, a practice shirt, and a warmup; Gold teams receive 2 jerseys, spandex/shorts, a practice shirt, and a warmup; Local teams receive 1 jersey, spandex/shorts, a practice shirt, and a warmup; practice players receive 1 practice shirt and 1 warmup. Club fees do not include airfare, lodging, meals, or transportation to and from practices and competition. For 18U Elite and 17U National teams, fees include beach volleyball from June through August 27th. Regional teams are listed as Oregon/Washington only, with all items included. The club states, “Volleyball knows no boundaries,” and “The sky is the limit for our athletes, reach for it.”
