About

The Cleveland Youth Basketball Program offers year-round basketball opportunities through the 2026 Fall League, the 2026-27 PIL Boys Winter League, 6th & 7th Grade REC Winter Basketball, 2026 Spring Basketball Opportunities, Fall Skill Clinics with Coach Glasgow, and Warrior Prep Fall League 2026. The program’s offerings include tryouts, winter season league play, winter rec basketball, spring basketball, and fall skill clinics that cover skills, scrimmaging, and CHS-specific concepts.

Programs

  • 2026 Fall League — 7th & 8th Grade · Tryouts Saturday September 5th 10-11:45am and Tuesday September 8th 6-7:30pm · Registration is required. If cost is an obstacle, email [email protected] for assistance.
  • 2026-27 PIL Boys Winter League — 6th-8th Grade · Winter season; tryouts TBA November 2026 · PPS/PIL coordinates 6th-8th teams during the winter season. Cleveland has selected two teams per grade level from tryouts to compete in the PIL League.
  • 6th & 7th Grade REC Winter Basketball — 6th Grade and 7th Grade · Winter season
  • 2026 Spring Basketball Opportunities — 7th & 8th Grade · Spring 2026 · Under the direction of CHS Varsity Head Coach Sam Glasgow. Tryouts have concluded.
  • Fall Skill Clinics with Coach Glasgow — 6th-8th Grade · Fall 2026 · Helps prepare players for winter league. Coach Glasgow works on skills, scrimmaging, and concepts specific to CHS.
  • Warrior Prep Fall League 2026 — 7th & 8th Grade · Tryouts TBA September 2026 · 7th & 8th Grade players who are not playing Fall League are invited to register for Fall Skill Clinics with Coach Glasgow to prepare for Winter Basketball.

About the provider

The program has served the Cleveland community since 2007. It is a 501c3 non-profit organization that is volunteer driven and works closely with and in support of the Cleveland High School Boys Basketball Program. Its leadership team includes CHS Varsity Head Coach Sam Glasgow and New Head Coach Terrance Dickens. The program’s mission is to build each individual toward becoming a better person, student, and player, with emphasis on attitude, effort, and focus.

Player participation is never based on a person's ability to pay. If cost is an obstacle, contact [email protected] for assistance. The program is not supported financially by PPS/PIL organizations.
