Prineville Hoops Basketball offers basketball activities for younger and older kids through several league options. The program includes Basketball (5-6 yr), Basketball (7-8 yr), Prineville Hoops 4th-5th Grade, and Prineville Hoops Kinder – 3rd grade. All Crook County leagues in this program are tasked with helping players develop agility, coordination, endurance, flexibility, speed, and strength.
• Ages: 5–11 years old
• Schedule: 4th–5th Grade registration runs August 12–October 3, 2025, with practices starting the week of October 27, 2025, games starting the following week, and the season ending Saturday, December 20, 2025; Kinder–3rd Grade registration runs October 28–December 2, 2024, with practices starting the week of January 5, 2026, games starting the following week, and the season ending Saturday, February 28, 2026.
Crook County Parks and Recreation District operates this program as part of its role as the primary parks and recreation provider for residents in the City of Prineville and Crook County. The district’s mission is enhancing the quality of life in the community through diverse programs, beautiful facilities, and excellent customer service. The district notes that its basketball leagues are divided by age group, offers diverse recreation programs and classes for all ages, and provides facilities for this purpose, and it is seeking volunteer coaches for its leagues.
