RAPRD Youth Programs are part of the Redmond Area Park and Recreation District, which was incorporated on July 8, 1975. RAPRD offers recreational programs for the greater Redmond, Oregon community and serves the communities of Redmond, Terrebonne, and Tumalo. RAPRD offers programs for toddler, youth, and adult age groups.

The RAPRD mission statement is: “RAPRD leads our community to health and well-being by providing fun, high-quality recreational experiences and activities for all.” The leadership team includes Katie Hammer (Executive Director), Vicki Osbon (Administrative Services Manager), Beth Asigri (Human Resources/Payroll Specialist), Yvonne Tillman (Communications Coordinator), Denise Maich (Accounting Specialist), Jessica Rowan (Aquatic Director), Ed Payne (Aquatic Coordinator), Shane Bennett (Head Swim Coach), Darren Kosanke (Maintenance), Mike Elam (Recreation Manager), Brandy Princehorn (Recreation Program Coordinator & Inclusion Coordinator), Teresa Brown (Fitness Coordinator), Kris Davis (Sports Coordinator), and Gary Davis (Parks Maintenance Supervisor).

RAPRD operates the Cascade Swim Center, which has a 25 meter indoor pool, a seasonal wading pool, and a spray pad. The lifeguarding course certifies participants with lifeguarding, CPR, First Aid, AED, and BBP, and is a blended learning class with online coursework and in-person training and testing sessions. Participants in the lifeguarding course must be strong swimmers able to swim at least 200 meters (8 lengths) without stopping.

Diane's Horseback Riding classes provide horses and tack. Participants in Kid Cuisine learn how to use an oven or burner, proper knife techniques, and how to measure. Participants in Adobe editing and Lightroom/Photoshop CC classes need to have the respective software installed before class begins. Art Explorers advises participants to wear an old shirt as the class tends to get messy. Paint Night includes all supplies and offers a discounted fee when a participant brings a friend. The RAPRD Hero Pass provides a 20% discount toward RAPRD recreation, fitness, or enrichment programming for Redmond Area veterans who live within the District boundaries.
