About
Pine Ridge Golf Club Junior Lessons offers golf lessons that include individual instruction, group instruction, junior lessons, private lessons, and 9 hole playing lessons. The program uses digital video swing analysis during private lessons, and private lessons can be 30 or 60 minutes long. A Junior Lesson is a private 30-minute lesson from a certified golf professional and is available to players aged 18 and younger.
• Ages: 5–18 years old
• Schedule: Private lessons available in 30- or 60-minute sessions; Junior Lesson is a private 30-minute session
Private lessons include digital video swing analysis with a take-home copy of the player’s swing. The leadership team includes Nic Sherman, PGA – Director of Golf/Head Professional; Aaron Oakley – Director of Player Development; Ryan Will – Assistant Professional; Rory Allison – Golf Course Manager/Greens Superintendent; and Valerie McKinley – Controller/Food and Beverage Manager. Nic Sherman’s background in the golf business spans 30 years, and his credentials include membership in the Professional Golfers’ Association (PGA). The program’s stated mission is to offer affordable lesson packages that focus on fundamentals that build muscle memory, with an emphasis on maximizing each player’s abilities rather than copying a tour professional’s swing. Aaron Oakley is now teaching and coaching at Pine Ridge Golf Club and is partnering with a growing golf course.
