• Ages: 7–18 years old
• Schedule: A classic weeklong experience for campers ages 7–12
Since 1938, this traditional overnight camp has operated with what it describes as a legacy of adventure. Camp Silver Creek offers unique overnight programs for youth, teens, and families, including Boys Leaders-In-Training (LIT) and Girls Leaders-In-Training (LIT) programs for teens ages 15–16, and BOLD & GOLD Adventure Camps for ages 13–17 that focus on backpacking and teamwork. It is described as the Y’s longest-running overnight camp and as a home away from home for generations of YMCA campers.
One parent, Erin A., describes clean campgrounds, clean bathrooms, nice cabins, beautiful creeks, and counselors who were friendly and helped her daughter feel at ease. Another parent, Tim R., notes that the camp feels the same as when he attended in the 1980s and that his stepdaughter did not want to leave at the end of her session. A camper using the name Midnight Adventures reports attending many times and enjoying a variety of fun, active activities.
