The program is described as offering focused training that will strengthen ballet technique and build confidence, artistry, and versatility, and it introduces dancers to ballet technique, jazz, character, and conditioning in a supportive and engaging environment. Families receive discounted tuition when registering for multiple weeks, and the program is designed with tiered tuition so dancers can attend as many weeks as they choose. The series is described as ideal for current JTSD students in Primary (ages 7 and up) and Grades 1–3, and it also welcomes external students. Space is limited and camps are described as filling quickly, with a recommendation to register early. The school states that it is dedicated to providing dancers of all ages with the highest quality of dance education possible. Pre-professional students at the school also have the opportunity to audition for Northwest Dance Theatre, a non-profit dance company directed by June Taylor-Dixon that was established in 1988 and performs several times throughout the year in the greater Portland area, including seven performances of The Nutcracker.
