Lightbridge Academy of Allentown – Summer Camp operates within a center that opened in 2019 and welcomes all Lehigh County parents and beyond as part of its community involvement. The program uses the proprietary Seedlings® curriculum and follows a Circle of Care® model that includes parents, children, teachers, and the community. Families have access to ParentView® internet monitoring, the Lightbridge Journey App, live video streaming, and an open-door policy for family communication and involvement, along with options such as Back-Up Care and Corporate Child Care. The center offers healthy snack options such as fruit, vegetables, whole grains, and proteins in both the morning and afternoon, as well as nutritious meal options that are described as appealing to picky eaters.
All staff members are required to complete background checks and fingerprinting, and CPR and first aid certification are mandatory for all staff members. The program employs certified teachers, and lead teachers are required to meet mandatory state credentials. The leadership team includes Owner, Steve DiNunzio, and Director, Angie Reifsnyder. The curriculum meets accreditation standards, and the center follows what it calls a Gold standard for health and safety protocols delivered as part of the Lightbridge Promise.
The stated goal of the program is to foster happy, confident, well-rounded children who are prepared for academic success, are socially aware, and who feel connected to the global community.
