Neighborhood North Museum of Play Programs

Neighborhood North Museum of Play Programs offer hands-on, arts-rich, and play-based experiences through exhibits, educational classes, recreational opportunities, and artistic experiences. The programs include afterschool programs and monthly classes where students explore ideas, build confidence, and learn to collaborate, as well as access to an on-site Maker Space with specific closure times for summer camp. Exhibits are designed to meet important goals in child development, adult-child interaction, and community-building.

Neighborhood North Museum of Play describes itself as Beaver County’s first children’s museum and as a new home for play and discovery in the historic News Tribune Building, serving as a hub for youth learning, creativity, and community connection. The organization states that it is rooted in the community and works to remove barriers so that all families, regardless of background or ability, can access joyful learning opportunities. After 5 years in a temporary space, the museum now operates in this new permanent home. The mission of Neighborhood North Museum of Play is to foster a love of learning, curiosity, belonging, and confidence as children and families learn, create, and grow together through the power of play. The Maker Space is closed from 12:30–2 PM for summer camp on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays until July 24th.
