Rock Hollow Woods Environmental Learning Center

Rock Hollow Woods Environmental Learning Center offers activities such as hiking in the woods, climbing trees, building forts, and playing outdoors. Children can find salamanders in the creek, create a nature journal, take pictures, observe the signs of the seasons, and watch a caterpillar transform into a butterfly. The program includes Toddler Time on the Trail, Nature Pre-K, Homeschool Happenings, After-school Nature Clubs, seasonal events, field trips, day camps for toddlers through seventh graders, and Open Volunteer Days.

Rock Hollow Woods Environmental Learning Center was formed in 2012 as a 67-acre nonprofit learning center. Programs and summer camps are run by certified educators, and the program offers low child-to-teacher ratios. Programs and events are offered for all ages, from toddlers to adults, including several programs for adults to experience their own nature therapy. The organization’s mission is to provide children with outdoor opportunities to discover and learn about the natural world and empower them to protect their environment. Rock Hollow Woods Environmental Learning Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Programs are led and supported by an executive director, an assistant director, co-founders who serve as directors and master naturalists, and a board that includes honorary lifetime board members and professionals in education, finance, business, and technology. Open Volunteer Days are offered on the 2nd Saturday of the month from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
