Reality Tour is an interactive drug prevention program for parents and youth. The program includes activities that focus on leadership and social skills within a community-based, parent-child prevention experience. It is structured as a replicable, evidence-based prevention program that is kept current with drug trends and continually updated, and it allows teens to address peer pressure and mental health concerns unique to their community.

In 2003, Reality Tour started out as a solution for a community to address the influx of heroin on its streets. The program’s mission states that it unites communities to reduce risk factors for youth substance abuse by re-purposing existing resources and emphasizes that parents are the most powerful prevention tool and need the support of their communities. The Reality Tour program brings parents, students, schools, local law enforcement, and community volunteers together. The program has received a Best Practice Award. The leadership team includes Becky Perkovich, Tour Director.
