• Ages: 3–18 years old
• Schedule: Single-day clinics, multi-week programs, week-long camps, and year-round training programs

Every instructor on staff has competed in collegiate or professional baseball and softball, and the program was founded by former professional players. Pirates Training Center states a mission to provide every youth baseball athlete throughout the Pittsburgh region with access to professional instruction, mentorship, and a clear development pathway. The program is a proud youth baseball and softball training partner of Major League Baseball and works alongside existing leagues, teams, and operators, with a stated mission to elevate the entire baseball community, not replace it. Its partnership with Major League Baseball is described as supporting existing local youth sports ecosystems and promoting the growth of the game by expanding access to high-quality youth baseball and softball instruction for players of all skill levels and socioeconomic backgrounds. The R.E.I. framework—Relationship, Environment, and Information—guides coaching at every level, and instruction is tailored to each athlete’s age, skill level, and developmental stage.
