Christian Retreat Center Youth Camps

Christian Retreat Center Youth Camps include activities such as the Waterslide Slide a Thon. The camps take place at a Christian camp and guest services rental facility that features areas such as The White Oak Lodge, Hillside Dining Hall, The Village Cabins, Three Sided Shelters & Pavilions, The Barn, outdoor activity spaces, and RV camping areas. The youth camps are part of CRC’s summer programs, which also include children’s summer camps, local missions with TIMS, and multiple family camps.

In 1978, 238 acres of land were purchased and Christian Retreat Center was founded, and in 1981 the first children and youth camp was held using a modified barn with 13 campers. The mission of Christian Retreat Center is to create an atmosphere of peace and hope at the camp and in the community in order to connect people to Jesus and to each other. CRC describes its heart of ministry as its summer programs, including Youth Camps and TIMS. The camp is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and is affiliated with the Brethren in Christ Denomination, the Christian Camp & Conference Association, and the Juniata River Valley Chamber of Commerce. CRC is open year-round for weekday and weekend use and welcomes a wide variety of retreat groups, including youth groups, family reunions, scrap booking and quilting retreats, adult retreats, college groups, business retreats, day events, and other retreats. CRC also offers an online store hosted on Bonfire that provides camp apparel and serves as a small fundraiser for the camp.
